I'm Vjekoslav Babić — Vjeko to basically everyone, because that's just what you do with a Vjekoslav in Croatia. Call me "Vjekoslav" and I'll assume you're my wife, and that you're really, really angry with me.
I've been writing software since 1995, breaking things in public on this blog since 2007, and these days I mostly write about getting AI agents to write production code without embarrassing anyone — myself included.
Two decades of scope creep
This blog started in 2007 writing about Microsoft Dynamics NAV — implementation war stories, project management, the occasional rant about database locks. Then NAV became Business Central, and the blog followed it: AL, extensions, the move to SaaS, performance, testing. These days it's mostly about agentic engineering — architecting systems where AI agents write the production code, and what it actually takes to do that without it falling over.
If you've been reading since the NAV days, you've watched this blog completely change what it's about. Twice. That's not drift. Writing about whatever's actually eating my attention has always mattered more here than staying on-topic — the throughline is me, not the technology.
